NCLT Ahmedabad Cause List 19 October 2026: Hearing-Readiness Guide

Updated: 3 days ago

The official NCLT cause-list page currently shows Ahmedabad Bench Court-I and Court-II cause lists dated 19 October 2026. It also provides order-date, case-number, party-wise, advocate-wise and judgement-date search routes. For counsel, companies and insolvency professionals working on Ahmedabad matters, the practical task is disciplined listing and record checking, not assuming that a case is listed merely because it exists.

The Bench Roster effective from 1 October 2026 records Ahmedabad as two division benches. Court-I lists Shri Shammi Khan, Member (J), with Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Member (T). Court-II lists Mrs Chitra Ram Hankare, Member (J), with Dr. Velam Govindan Venkata Chalapathy, Member (T). Both are shown as full-day benches in the roster.

What the 19 October page confirms

The official cause-list page lists an Ahmedabad Bench Court-I cause list for 19 October 2026 with 38 entries and an Ahmedabad Bench Court-II cause list for the same date with 20 entries. These are official listing records for that date. They are not findings on the merits, orders in individual matters or guarantees about how a matter will proceed.

The NCLT order-date page was last updated on 19 October 2026 and includes Ahmedabad in the bench selector. The cause-list page was last updated on 17 October 2026. Those update dates are useful operational markers, but a practitioner should still open the linked PDF and check the matter-specific entry before relying on it.

Ahmedabad NCLT hearing-readiness checklist

  • Select the correct Ahmedabad Court-I or Court-II bench and hearing date on the official cause-list page.

  • Open and save the linked PDF; do not rely only on a search-result title or internal calendar.

  • Match the case number and party names against the latest order and case record.

  • Check whether the document identifies an ordinary listing, special listing, renotified item or other status.

  • Keep the petition, replies, affidavits, proof of service, authorisations and prior directions in one hearing bundle.

  • Use the official order-date or case-wise search route for orders and retain the downloaded order with its source date.

  • Record when the cause list was checked and re-check close to the hearing if the matter is time-sensitive.

A cause list is not a case outcome

A cause list is a procedural and administrative record. It is not a substitute for pleadings, a registry communication, a judicial order or a final decision. A careful client update should distinguish the fact that a matter appears in the published list from the separate questions of service, maintainability, directions, adjournment, admission and outcome.

That distinction matters when a client asks whether an Ahmedabad NCLT matter is listed, heard or decided. The official page can support a statement about the published cause list. A claim about what happened in court or what the Tribunal will decide requires the relevant order or record, not just the list.

Digital access developments

In its 7 October 2026 press release, NCLT stated that it had launched e-Inspection and e-Certified Copy services. The Tribunal described these as providing advocates, litigants and other stakeholders convenient and faster access to judicial records and certified copies. Users should follow the live NCLT instructions and service requirements when making a request.
